Softcrow is a zero-knowledge software escrow agent and offers three services, each tailored to a different risk profile and level of cover. With all three the supplier encrypts client-side and Softcrow has no access to the contents. Which one fits best depends on how far the continuity must reach if your supplier falls away.
Beneath all three services lies SecureStorage, Softcrow’s zero-knowledge storage infrastructure: end-to-end encrypted and append-only, with the encryption key always held by the supplier. The storage is sovereign, hosted entirely within the EU and beyond US jurisdiction, so CLOUD- and USA PATRIOT Act-free.

Software Escrow
A sovereign deposit, for the source code only: the pure intellectual property. Isolated and stored beyond foreign legal reach with a neutral third party, until the release conditions take effect. For when the supplier falls away, through bankruptcy or the cessation of the service. With Software Escrow you always keep the right and the ability to maintain or further develop the software, yourself or through a third party.
SaaS Escrow
A dual deposit with both the source code and the user data, stored entirely within the EU. Automated, incremental snapshot pipelines keep software and data up to date in parallel on CLOUD- and USA PATRIOT Act-free servers. For organisations that are fully dependent on a SaaS service and that must also be able to gain access to their own data if continuity fails.
CloudSecure
A storage deposit combined with legal ringfencing for the continuity of an entire cloud service. CloudSecure safeguards that continuity both legally and technically. The intellectual property, the hosting contracts and the user licences are placed in separate legal entities, so that they remain outside the bankruptcy estate. The service keeps running as long as beneficiaries pay their licence.
