Pricing
Softcrow uses a simple, transparent pricing structure: one-off start-up costs and an annual fee per package. There are no hidden costs. By default, sufficient storage and data traffic is included; if you consistently use more, we settle the additional usage annually. A verification audit is optional and key verification is free of charge.

- Software Escrow: 1 deposit included, key verifications are free of charge, included storage/data traffic of 50/100 GB per month, extra storage/data traffic per block of 50/100 GB at €60 per month, settled annually.
- SaaS Escrow and CloudSecure: 2 deposits included, key verifications are free of charge, included storage/data traffic of 100/200 GB per month, extra storage/data traffic per block of 100/200 GB at €120 per month, settled annually.
- A package is a separate application for which a beneficiary is registered as rightful party. For collective schemes the annual fee applies per beneficiary per package.
- A verification audit includes one examination day under the supervision of an externally engaged NOREA Register IT auditor.
- All prices exclude VAT.
Cost allocation
The allocation of costs between supplier and beneficiary is determined in consultation. Any allocation is possible, from fully borne by the supplier to fully borne by the beneficiary, or a combination.
In practice we see two common patterns:
- With a tripartite agreement the beneficiary usually pays both the start-up costs and the annual costs.
- With a collective agreement the supplier usually pays the start-up costs, while the beneficiaries bear the annual costs.
What is included?
The following are included as standard with all services:
- Personal support: with drafting the agreement and the technical set-up of delivery
- Extensive documentation: available in the Softcrow Dashboard for all parties involved
- Secure storage: zero-knowledge, in ISO 27001 certified data centres in the EU
- Unlimited number of deposits per agreement
- Included storage and data traffic per month: 50/100 GB (Software Escrow), 100/200 GB (SaaS Escrow and CloudSecure)
- Multiple deposit options: from manual via the browser to automated via the Softcrow CLI (available for Windows, macOS, Linux and Unix)
- Key verification: free check of whether the beneficiary’s encryption key matches the deposit
- Softcrow Dashboard: insight into deposits and status for all parties involved
SaaS Escrow additionally includes:
- Deposit for customer data
- Depositing the description of the SaaS infrastructure
CloudSecure additionally includes:
- Legal structure to safeguard the availability of the cloud service
- Depositing the description of the cloud infrastructure
Verification audit
A verification audit is optional and is carried out by an independent NOREA Register IT auditor. The price includes one examination day; if the audit requires more time, extra days are charged separately. The rates are listed in the overview above.

Key verification
Key verification is a free optional service for the beneficiary. On the basis of the checksum of the encryption key stored with the deposit, the beneficiary can check whether the key made available to them matches. This gives the beneficiary certainty at any time that their key is correct, without Softcrow having access to the key itself.
